This is something created by Tan Soon Jin. It's not a team project, just a short video done by him individually for the sake of fun about 4 team members in TOLAMYA. The pictures were taken with a DSLR during the numerous Editorial Board photoshoot sessions. The creator of this short clip has promised more to come, that is, after our exams.

Initially, this group started out with 6 friends. Together, we have completed our project for the Digital Storytelling Contest 2009. i'm not sure if i should say that we did a great job but i think the results speak for themselves:
We have received 310 VIEWS in less than 24 hours after posting the video on youtube.com.

So i'll just go right to the point: We are accepting a new member to our group!

ALVIN CHEAH EE ZHIUN

He has been friends with all of us since Form 1 and has known most of us for more than 6 years! We decided to bring him into the group so that we can soar to greater heights together as we superbly well together. Therefore, from now onwards, TOLAMY will be known as TOLAMYA.
So now that we have an additional "A"... this means:

Team Of Lazy And Mad Youngsters... Ah?

Actually, we have already accepted Alvin into our group before we created this blog and that explains the reason we named this blog TOLAMYA and not TOLAMY.

By the way, the addition of a new member to this group has its significance as it marks the beginning of a new project... Yep, we're up to something again.... ;)

Hey,

A team of 6 students from Penang Free School, Malaysia just completed a digital storytelling project and we have posted it on youtube. We formed the group TOLAMY which stands for:

Tan Soon Jin
Oh Yue Jin
Lim Jia Tian, Justin
Aw Shao Pinn, Nelson
Moussa, Muzamil
Yee Siew Mun, Samuel

We are also known as Team Of Mad And Lazy Youngsters.

Anyway, here's a bit of info on our project:

It is a project completed by 6 Penang Free School students for the Digital Storytelling Contest 2009 organised by Sapura Technologies and Apple. The whole process of planning, story writing, taking pictures, cropping and editing, inserting the pictures, recording the dialogue, adding the sound effects and editing the completed video was completed in just one week. It was done wholly on a MacBook which was the prerequisite of the competition.

We were all amateurs and there were a few things about digital storytelling which we weren't aware of. For example, it had to be just slides of pictures... yea, but we made it much more interesting by taking pics and cropping the pics into backgrounds for a stronger sense of reality. It was a very fun experience and we hope you could just spend a little time to take look at our project (only 3:00 mins)
